Mt Field – Almost Forgotten!

With so many ‘tourist’ spots to visit in Tasmania, some gorgeous places get missed by the hordes. Mt Field is one of them.

Well worth the stop with easy short walks through the tall timbers with a very special waterfall. If you can, stay for the night and see the glow worms!

That long unanswered question. “If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound?” I think this giant made a sound  when it fell.

Some walk are peaceful amongst the tall fern trees. Apparently they grow about 5cm a year!  You work out the math!

      1. The staff like it like it a little low key, although they were happy that tourism has grown by 23% from last year. Actually all over Tasmania it has grown from about 20% to 26%. People are getting to realise its beauty. !! ❤
