Very early mornings anywhere can give you a surprise – the hope of a magnificent sunrise or something out of the ordinary. Strolling by the harbour in the wee hours, I noticed a small fishing boat just pulling in to tie up.
Being nosey, I wandered over to find CRAYFISH in their hundreds!
These men had been out for four days with their pots and came back with quite a haul.
Loading quickly, a small refrigerated van was already parked, ready to whisk them away; probably straight to the airport and overseas, judging by their quality and quantity.
Ahhh wouldn’t I or we like to have had a meal of these Tasmanian crayfish!
