Farwell Tasmania – A State of Discovery!

What an amazing few months travelling around our island state of Tasmania.  It is certainly Australia’s best kept secret!

‘Discover Tasmania’ is the slogan and that is what you will do – discover places you had not heard about.

You will learn about our rich convict history, swim in beautiful azure blue waters at stunning beaches and glorious lakes. You will take some short and long walks through pristine rainforests and along raw coastlines. And sample some of the most delicious locally grown produce.

The word ‘contained’ kept jumping into my mind as I travelled around. All you have to do is drive for half an hour and you are somewhere – somewhere that will take your breath away time and again.

It kept me very busy capturing glorious images each day for this site. I thank all those who ventured onto this site to see a glimpse of Tasmania and hopefully inspired to visit one day. Depending on what kind of weather you like, I would suggest the summer months.

I have many personal highlights and they will stay with me forever.  AND will return again another time.

Thanks again to all who visited this site and thanks for the comments.  xxx

Next stop….Victoria and The Man from Snowy River!

  1. Hey Lexa, thanks for taking us along on your tour of Tasmania, you showcased some amazing parts of the island that even I hadn’t seen. Such a beautiful part of Australia and one everyone should visit if they come down under. Cheers.
